--- BUG FIX SOLUTION --- Help / Guidance Needed

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to be here!

Looking for some tips on bypassing a common bug that's popping up for the MQ...

The 4th mission "Into the Unknown" simply does not trigger after completing "The Old Neighbourhood"

Console commands seemingly do not work for either triggering the quest, or triggering anything leading to the quest.
Trust me... I've tried... A note pad of quest IDs, stages, and other integers stares back at me as I write this.

Figured now would be the time to delve into the community of people who don't put up with that bs, because they can make a mod for it!
And I'm a noob to modding and always will be, hooray!

All jokes aside, I didn't realize this bug was present, went off and did about 60hs of leveling, exploring, farming (so.... much.... farming...) only to be told by bethesda (via a copy/paste of their useless help doc I LITERALLY LINKED INTO MY TICKET) that the solution was to restart my computer.
They're busy, I get it. But hey, in the 5s it would take to actually provide a reliable fix, there's already some NSFW mods available for the game, so I figured I'd turn to the evidently more dependable community!

If you have a solution to this matter, any heads up would be much appreciated. I'll definitely provide a cookie emoji and you can hold me to that promise.

The problem with many bug fixes is that the necessary tools are not yet available (such as xEdit or the CK). Right now, until the unofficial patch teams are up and running and have the tools at hand to fix these issues, your best bet is to contact Bethesda direct, as per the Pinned Topic Helpful Links, References, and News:

TO REPORT ISSUES IN GAME TO BETHESDA, GO TO:
Also, if you encounter an issue, can you reproduce it? If you load an earlier save and repeat the same actions, is the result the same?
Anyone encountering a bug (or what they think may be a bug, should ideally try and make a note of it - where it happened, when did it happen, what were the conditions and events leading up to the issue.
Once a person has done that, they should use the above link and report the information to Bethesda.
Good luck!
