Increasing Crowd Density

Hello there.

 

Does anyone know how to increase Crowd Density via .ini?

 

Tried changing

 

[Crowd]

fCrowdActorPlatformSpecificSpawnScalar=1

uMaxCrowdActorCount=200

to

[Crowd]

fCrowdActorPlatformSpecificSpawnScalar=10

uMaxCrowdActorCount=2000

to no avail.

Two things - one, the options are set to 3 levels - low, medium, high, corresponding to 100, 150, 200 respectively. Whether these settings can even be changed at all is not known at this point. Second, and more importantly, setting density to 2000 (or, indeed to any number above 200, which is Beth's upper limit) would most likely cause issues with performance - and in the case of much higher numbers, make the game unplayable - if it did not cause an outright CTD. The more NPCs that are rendered in game, the greater the load, which is why, in other games where people are having performance issues, one of the first things we ask is if they are using any mods that increase the number of NPCs. Personally, even if it is possible to change the crowd density, I would strongly recommend not increasing it beyond what Bethesda has set for an upper limit.
