Freegrazer
Hi all. I'm brand new to modding so apologies if I'm being really dumb here. I'm trying to add the following mod for Starfield - "Starfield Upscaler - Replacing FSR2 with DLSS or XeSS". I'm playing the game via Steam, and using Vortex to manage mods. I'm aware that Starfield doesn't yet support mods, so I just want to be sure that Vortex is putting files and folders into the correct places. The installation notes for this mod say as follows: 1. Extract this mod to the game's root folder. 2. Install Upscaler Base Plugin, place the PDPerfPlugin.dll into mods/UpscalerBasePlugin folder. For point 1 above - Vortex has extracted the mod files and folders to the \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data folder, and has placed a starfieldupscalerpreset .ini file into the root folder. This is correct? For point 2 above - Vortex has added a folder named "mods" into the \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data folder, is this the folder that the "UpscalerBasePlugin" folder should be in? And this is where I place the PDPerfPlugin.dll and the nvngx_dlss files? Again sorry if I'm being a dumbass! Any help is much appreciated!
HeyYou
At this point, I am not sure Vortex really understands how to properly install mods for Starfield. I have been installing them manually.... with great success.
Freegrazer
At this point, I am not sure Vortex really understands how to properly install mods for Starfield. I have been installing them manually.... with great success. Yeah I think I'll just do it manually as well. The only mod that Vortex appears to have installed correctly for me is the Starfield Script Extender mod.
