Should mods be disabled going into 2.0?

First post here so apologies if this isn't the right place to ask. I'm wondering what I should do when 2.0 comes out? I have quite a few mods that I've taken quite a liking to, so I'm worried about having to disable everything and run vanilla when 2.0 drops. Only got into the game a few weeks ago so I have no experience with updates messing with mods. Appreciate any insight :)

I think that would be wise... I really don't know, no one knows yet I suspect, but my experience has been that EVERY UPDATE BREAKS MODS. This is a major change to the game, so expect major problems with current mods. Hope I am wrong, but...

My plan:

a. Keep Steam in offline mode until after Phantom Liberty drops, plus a week or two. I can play my current game setup until then.

b. Monitor YouTube CP2077 2.0 content during this period and try to guess what is likely to happen. Once I am ready to upgrade I will go to

c. Disable all Redmod mods, completely remove all other mods, get my current game into vanilla shape, cross my fingers, hold my breath and upgrade.

d. Tear my hair out, head butt my pc and cry a lot, until it actually works, or give up and play the Witcher 3 again.

goddogit... The game updated while I was eating lunch and now it won't launch (through Nexus)! Anybody know how to roll back to 1.63? I just started playing CP2077 a couple weeks ago and was just starting to get into it. Have about 15 or so mods. The game will launch through Steam but it looks like the mods are disabled. Didn't try to actually play -- don't want to bork my save game. Hope v2.0 doesn't require starting a new game. I've only got 26 or so hours in the game (and a lot of that was spent going through the menus, reading stuff, exploring, etc., but still, I would rather not have to restart.

1. Go to your Steam Library.

2. Right-click on Cyberpunk 2077 and select Properties.
3. Go to BETAS and in the dropdown select "1_63_legacy_patch" - the game will update/downdate? automatically.
Just make sure to turn off auto-update (Or alternatively play in offline mode) and you can still play with your own mods until it's sorted out. I have hopes that we'll be able to use our current saves to play, but not holding my breath. I see my first female V in my future.
Whoops! Sorry Red.

maan the re-hype just isn't worth the struggle/ 3 hours using mobile data last night to update 2.0, heavily modded and immersive focused... today the game won't even launch and I'm not about to dig through archive/ bin and r6 game folders to find and remove mods/ I just spent 2 weeks re-modding the game after a year away from it - upgraded to an RTX 4050, found the best ReShade and just got the city popping off!!
