Ojeii
I don't know if I'm in the right section or not and I apologize if I'm not. I seriously am frustrated at how to install ENB mods, I've spent hours upon hours trying to find decent videos or on Google to find a good enough guide on how to simply install ENB mods but for whatever reason everyone explains it so vague to where I have no idea where to put the files, can someone explain to me step-by-step on how to install a ENB mod? Jeir
Which ENB in particular do you want to use? The basics for all of them are:1. Decide which ENB you want. Make a note of what ENBSeries it requires.2. Download the required ENBSeries .zip.3. Open the said .zip, go into the WrapperVersion folder, and extract all of the ENBSeries files to your Steam/SteamApps/common/Skyrim folder. Not the /Data folder.4. Download the ENB you want. If there's a 'Main Files' folder, install that first. If it gives options (such as with Project ENB, which has Cinematic, Fantasy, and Realistic presets, all with optional DOF, SSAO, etc.), go through the folders and install what you want into /Skyrim.5. Edit the SkyrimPrefs.ini in Docs/My Games/Skyrim as pretty much every ENB mod page should tell you to.6. Edit the enblocal.ini in your /Skyrim folder, and set the VideoMemorySizeMb parameter (e.g. VRAM + RAM - 2048).7. Some, if not all, require that AA be turned off in the launcher. Do so. Jeir
You're meant to install it in the Skyrim folder, not the data folder. Pretty much every set of instructions I've read for ENBs says that all the ENBSeries files must go into /Skyrim, and wont work if put in the /data folder. The only reason you would put any files in there is if you plan on using the NMM installer RealVision has. 1. Download the ENBSeries v0245 binaries.2. Go into the WrapperVersion folder.3. Copy d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe to Steam/SteamApps/common/Skyrim. Note the lack of 'data'.4. Download RealVision and open it with 7zip5. Go into the first folder (RealVision_ENB_245a). 6. Pick an option/preset (00).7. Go into said option/preset's folder.8. Go into yet another folder (RealVision_ENB_Files).9. Extract everything other than the one folder and two files that mention NMM to /Skyrim. Allow any overwrites, if any.10. Go back two levels. (Hit the 'green arrow pointing up out of a folder' button to the left of the drop-down bar).11. Pick from the 01/02/03 optional files. Only pick one from each.12. For the 01 and 03 options, go into the one you want to find the textures/meshes folders, and extract these to Skyrim/Data.13. For the 02 options, go into one, and then go into yet another folder, and extract the enbeffect.fx file you find there to /Skyrim.14. Go to Docs/My Games/Skyrim, and edit the SkyrimPrefs.ini. These are the lines you need to edit, although RealVision may give others:bFloatPointRenderTarget=1bDrawLandShadows=1bTreesReceiveShadows=115. Open enblocal.ini and set the VideoMemorySizeMb parameter (VRAM + RAM - 2048, e.g. VRAM = 1024, RAM = 8192, so what you would put here is 7168. Adjust to your own computer specs.)16. Disable AA in the SkyrimLauncher options. The RealVision mod page may say more about what you should disable, if anything.
