raulness
I'm running Windows Vista 64-bit and I had read that I should install my FO3 folder somewhere other than Program Files, so I did (before I started installing everything) by moving it to my desktop. Installed all the essential programs and then I opened up FOMM and ran the game. As soon as I got to the main screen, it only gave me the option to start a new game. Now, I'm assuming this is because my saved games are registered to only be recognized by the Program Files installation. Anyways, I tried to move the FO3 folder back into program files again to see if it would find my saves... No luck. Finally decided to delete all of the mod tools and try to run the game again. It finally read my saves. So my question is... If I re-move my FO3 folder to the desktop, where will the games save to? Right now all my save files are located in: Documents > My Games > Fallout 3 Would I have to direct the FOMM to read my save files from there? If yes, how so? Sorry, I'm so uneducated in this field. I really want to get into modding. I have some great ideas for the game. I have a feeling it's going to take me a while to get the hang of things... Thanks.... and yes I did use the search function.. didn't quite find what I was looking for.

october21
If you have played previously logged in to G4WL your Game saves will seem to have disappeared as well too They will actually have moved to another folder inside your Saves folder, named for your G4WL Profile. Just drag them back into your \saves folder to be able to use them again.
