Mod Organizer 2 / Overwrites (Photos from Data - Texture folder)

Hello,

I'm new to MO2, it's working great overall, but an overwrite phenomenon has appeared and I can't manage to understand it.

If I'm launching the game via MO2, and then take a photo with the Photo mod, an overwrite appears with the png picture + the thumbnail into it

D:\Mod Organizer\Jeux\Starfield\overwrite\Textures\Photos instead of being created into

C:\Users\ME\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\Textures\Photos.

And if I'm doing the same after having launch the game via its exe, the behavior is the same as intended (the files are created into C:\Users\ME\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\Textures\Photos).

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the help

" Did you actually test Photo mode as I mentioned? I tested again just now, and it instantly put the screenshot in Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\Textures\Photos, with Message of the Day disabled and no existing Data folder in My Games. Since there now is a Textures directory, no Textures in the game's steamapps\common\Starfield\Data\Textures will load. You would need to never use Photo Mode for that to continue to work.

Now, if Mod Organizer would hook into this and grab the photos and put it into Overwrite, or perhaps a special Photos mods directory, that would be able to fix the issue, provided that the My Games directory was cleared of the Textures level. "

Thanks you DirtyWeaselMedia,

" It's a side effect of virtualizing the Data folders. As you know, Bethesda built Starfield with two Data folders for mods to go into. Most mods route through the Data folder in the games main directory. But, textures go through the Data folder in "Documents". (Hopefully this will be resolved by Beth when they enable modding.) Because MO2 merges both Data folders virtually, any files generated by the game are dumped into Overwrite. I know that the team at MO2 are aware of this issue. Their best suggestion for the time being is to create an empty mod called "Photos" or something like that and then you drag and drop any photos from Overwrite into the new mod occasionally. Not the best solution, but like a lot modding issues right now, it's just a temporary work around."
Cheers
