Time Travel?

So i was wondering, is it possible to create a mod which enables you to travel back and forth in time to specific years or dates

 

e.g if you travel forward in time, the world has changed and the Capital Wasteland has been rebuilt.

 

Is anyone with me on this?

Some aspects are possible with the default resources available from the games and DLC. Though perhaps not in the way you'd think it can turn out.

 

There's also the question of what is the plot of the quest or premise behind time travel.

The main and most pressing question is this:

 

Delorian or TARDIS?

This would probably be the most daunting task in the history of mods, but it would be possible to some extent.

Make a copy of the capital wasteland, put new stuff in or whatever, and then make a link that connects the two "times."

 

It would be a lot easier to do if you could only visit a certain section of the wasteland, like one of the dc worldspaces or something.

I was thinking that we use the VR machine from Operation Anchorage. Or the machine in Vault 112.

An interesting idea would be if you could experience what it was like just before the bombs fell. Like, say you enter a VR that had a thinking computer which recorded all the events at that time. However, this would take forever.

You could do it a bit like Zork III. You find a vault that was built with a time machine in it. If you travel into the future, you find that an earthquake has occurred and you are trapped in there. If you travel into the past, you might encounter some NPCs and mess with them in amusing ways, but you might lose access to the machine. Too far into the past, and you emerge into solid rock, etc.
