runningaround
I was trying to add my custom NPC into the vanilla group of followers, so it would act like them except it wouldn't have voice acting. It's mind bottling. Has anyone succeed in doing this? So far, all the companion mods I see have completely different scriptings compared to the vanilla companions. jaysus
the easiest way is to use The Commonwealth of Modders Mod and just add the aahsccompanionfollowscript to an npc or creature and add them to the aahsccompanions faction that would obviously require the user to have the commonwealth of modders installed
VerbalEarthworm
um, actually, shameless plugging aside, the easiest way is to use the "Sharing and Caring Companion" Mod, easily found on FO3Nexus (i shant link). with it, you can turn anyone you are able to talk with into a Companion (there is a similar mod that allows you to befriend anyone but that can create faction hilarity), with two dialog clicks. i use "SCC" and befriend npc's i take a liking to, then edit them in GECK and/or FO3Edit if i want to customise them.
