lance2534
I downloaded all the .dll files into my Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\FalloutNewVegas\ and tried to run it and a black screen comes up saying, "Couldn't find FalloutNV.exe". I looked all around the internet and it was people just placing it wrong, I even followed a video tutorial. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I don't know if this helps but I have 4gb New Vegas and FOMM.

Google moving Steam. Yes even if you have UAC turned OFF it will still silently mess with you. I was one of the People way back, that insisted (Ohh I can Mod my Game I have UAC off ) but then i was shown how wrong i was...lol I finally gave in, and Steam is now installed ...e:\Games\Steam....... Best move I ever did.
lance2534
What is UAC, and how to I get rid of it?
camaro_69_327
User Actually Cant do crap to their own Files, is how most feel. UAC= User Account Control Google is really a powerful tool, i only typed "UAC" and this was the first link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Account_Control Don't think along the lines of messing with UAC. Just move Steam out of the reach of UAC. IF steam is installed to ...c:\Games\Steam then UAC will not play a factor, ever again for Steam. Like i said before ..... How to move Steam The first hit is a "/support.steampowered" link, Be sure to read that page in full . That is the page i used to move my steam install. Do what it says.
