Adras
We are reading Julius Ceaser in my Language Arts class and I have been paying attention to the names of some of the people and noticed that there is a man in the play named Trebonius (head of the mages guild also) and a man names Caius (Caius Cosades). It kind of surprised me, but I figured I would share this random bit of knowledge I found. *twitch*
Maquissar
Well, I don't think it has much to do with it. The Imperials in Morrowind draw heavily from the Romans in history. So I guess you could expect them to have Roman names, just like you can expect Bretons to have french names, or Nords to have Norse names.
Thrasher
Yes, along with, appelatian, darius, and just about every other. Latin is the base language in which all major nations languages have evolved. We live in a highly romanized world.
von Dragunewich
And if you know some things 'bout the roman mililtery, you must have recognised the armor, shields, swords, and helms of the legionaries of the emp. to be suspicioul°sly alike with the standart arms and armor af an Roman legionarry in abou 100 AD. The helms are the most abvious proof to that (by the way all the names like Legion, Gladius, legionarrie at cetera are from the latin PS - I'm not a freak, just an enthusiast 8)
