Ganzah
Yea so me and my follower 'Inigo' were heading twards the first main story quest to retrieve the dragonstone in Bleak Falls Barrow. So on our war there I figure we could benefit from some sleep(lol*) so we make a stop at the Inn in Riverwood. When we get inside the inn keeper launches at me swinging his club, and before I know it all towns folk are all over me.. It's a new character so I haven't gotten that far to have any history of crime.. ( i've got a load of new mods which might cause this problem*) Well I could just kill them sorry sons of a.... but I want to play nice for a change and this bug, or whatever it is, messing with my plans as I can't enter Riverwood without being attacked. Shadeybladey
Did you steal some wood or kill a chicken? Try talking to a Whiterun guard and paying off a bounty.
Ganzah
Did you steal some wood or kill a chicken? Try talking to a Whiterun guard and paying off a bounty.Nah we were just passing through.I noticed same thing happend in Whiterun, a crazy hag launched at me for no reason. And the guards didn't lift a finger to help out either xD
Shadeybladey
Very odd. It sounds like you have been flagged as part of an enemy faction. I don't suppose you would be a werewolf or vampire yet, but might you be a bandit or something? I use Arthmoor's Alternate Start - Live Another Life. When I start as a Bandit I am flagged as one in that hold until I have rescued someone from Helgen. I see you have Altered Beginning. I know nothing about it, but is it a similar thing and you can start as a Bandit or a Vampire? Out of your mods, I have these, so you can probably exclude those as the cause: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthFires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espDragonborn.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.espAMatterOfTime.espBirdsHFclean.espBirdsofskyrim.espChesko_WearableLantern.espDivinePunishmentForArrowsToTheKnee.espDual Sheath Redux.espskyBirds - Airborne Perching Birds.espSkyUI.espiHUD.espCloaks.espAchieveThat.espHeadtracking.espSkyTEST-RealisticAnimals&Predators.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espdD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.espUnreadBooksGlow.espPredator Vision.espDragonCombatOverhaulDragonborn.espThe Dance of Death - Ultimate Edition.espDual Sheath Redux Patch.esp I did get attacked by everyone at Riverwood with my latest character - but I think that is because a house mod I have there has wood chopping blocks and piles of wood, but I also have More Interactive Items that lets me steal from static woodpiles. I "stole" some wood from my own woodpile and everyone hated me until I spoke to a guard and paid a small fine. This was before I had seen the Jarl so there were no guards at Riverwood yet. Actually, come to think of it, I had just returned from Bleak Falls Barrow as well - I had to sneak into town to get to my house, and then sneak out to visit the Whiterun guards and pay my fine. I wonder if they are related? But try talking to the guards anyway, just in case. After paying my 1 gp fine, everyone was nice to me again. Did you get the claw before talking to the Trader? Maybe we have uncovered a new bug, or some weird interaction between certain mods? :) ~.~
RatcatcherOfKvatch
I wish I could credit whoever figured this out, but I can't find it now. I had the same problem, nothing worked to fix it, then I read somewhere someone figured out if you're in bad with the Imperials it makes anyone friendly to Imperial hostile to you -- even after the 'Cloaks take over Whiterun Hold. The weirdest part of all is that you being a loyal 'Cloak means the guards go around smacking down the Loyalist townspeople for attacking you. It's brother-against-brother in an all-out Civil War, all because Officer Stormcloak (you) breezed into town after getting in bad with the Imperials. (My temptation is the unprovoked Thalmor attack. Why waste time talking them into making the first move when you can just start chopping? Well I can think of one good reason now ...)
