DrakeTheDragon
Well, if they actually did have ambient "music" in the game... ...I never heard any music on my brothers 360, unless he was listening to a radio, and when he turned it off there was only silence, wind and nature sounds ever... ...but if there was, then there should also be a simple way to replace this file/these files with other ones more to your liking.I haven't found any documentation about the mere existance of such music up to now... but I haven't actually searched much either. Epicmagus
Yes, there is ambient tracks, and adding costum ones into these files doesnt work and I am not sure about replacing them either. (I'm a total noob on scripting I might be wrong). I remember I could add track in the Oblivion game by simply dumping them into the fitting audio file, it was so simple that time.... When I tried this on NV, it just did nothing. That's why I have the impression that NV needs a script to reconise costum soundtrack. I have the impression the radio was meant to be more easier of access to add these. I'll try to get the hang on GECK, for the radio and for many other reasons too. bben46
While for legal reason we cannot allow copyrighted music to be uploaded to Nexus without the documented permission of the copyright owner, ( we don't want to be sued for allowing infringement ) there are tutorials that show you how to put any music into your own game. DrakeTheDragon
Either you had "Music" muted or you haven't played Fallout thoroughly....Definitely the latter, as I was merely watching 'him' play... but as for the former, I didn't even open the settings menu when it was my round and I don't know what settings he did in there, so that's a possibility as well. But coming to think of it, I was helping someone else in a similar topic already lately, having trouble putting custom MP3s into the game's music folders, and I don't recall any notion to it being about 'radio' music either, and I was only popping in because of the mention of "they even have their ID3 tags" or something along that line and remembering that at least TES IV totally 'detested' MP3 files with ID3 tags or similar meta data in their file headers and entirely neglected to play them back, no matter whether the bit rates and other formats were totally correct or not. So I said something along the line "Mentioning those ID3 tags... have you tried removing them already?" plus my usual wall of text with explanations as for 'why' I mention this... and the result was 'it worked', it in fact were the ID3 tags preventing it from working all the time. Thus maybe it can't hurt giving it a try here as well? And if still in doubt, just copy the entire format settings from the existing MP3 files that do work ingame as well. Oblivion only accepted a very specific setup of MP3 file format, too, after all. P.S.: I'm using subjunctive for a reason when talking about stuff I "don't" know. Always sitting here waiting to be corrected by those who "do" know. That's my way of learning. Edited January 22, 2014 by DrakeTheDragon
