NeidhartRocks
i like the approach of calling it 'modding ideas' instead of Bethesdas list of missed opportunities. but let's first start with a disclaimer:- the following idea will not be possible before B's official mod support is released- i do not know, if it even will be possible with CK - the following idea will not be achievable by a single modder or even a small group of modders- i don't know if any of this would be achievable anyways- i only read about the vanilla alternate universes, but haven't experienced one so far so after my first playthrough i asked myself: why is ng+ just the same universe. according to multiverse theories, the number of different universes should be times as high as the number of 'my' universes. So i depict a list of some major universe layout settings, as follows: - a universe, where the war of colonies never happened - a universe, where there is only UC and some free settlements - a universe, where there is only FC and some free settlements - a universe, where UC won the war ') conventionally '') due to success of what Hadrian Sanon was researching during the war - a universe, where FC won the war - a universe, where the war is still ongoing - a universe where every solar system is it's own faction (which would be the most realistic one with humans from earth) - a universe where there are no civil governments, but corporations - a universe with a 3rd faction, the Autonomous Civilizations (AC) ... And i know, what this means - remodel every single outpost and settlement to have a UC and a FC design version - rescript every single questline and mark, which universes they can appear - create new settlements, outposts, whatever for the 'never had a war' universes so basically: creating a full new game with every universe. reusing parts, but still having a lot of work... Additionally, i would opt for some permutations for all major universes. - earth never was made inhabitable - randomly switch solar system alignment between factions i had a lot more of ideas on this topic, before i went to bed the other day - but this is what remained in my head, for now. the replayability of the game would drastically increase but this would need a team like 'beyond skyrim' and take ages to become reality... Mavkiel
Honestly I see a dropdown menu being created for mods when exiting reality. So you can select which reality to enter in. To add to this, I'd like to see an Armageddon type scenario. Terrrormorphs overrun just about everything.. All cities infested. Few Space stations hanging on by a thread. In order to progress the plot and leave you would have to land in destroyed cities, gather up info on relics while combating aliens and looting the remains of shops/etc.

Imagine touching down on any human settlement in the new universe and every human NPC is dead and in their place, Terrormorphs. About a 3 person to Terrormorph ratio. You enter New Atlantis to see a locked down spaceport, debris and bodies litter the streets, roars echoing in the distance. You get to the lodge and a swarm of heatleeches slither away, you open the library to be greeted by a terrific roar and the bodies of constellation members. You manage to take down the Terrormorph there to loot its body for the artifacts, starting materials...and Sarah's outfit.
FALCmods4all
I imagine multiple universes is where mods will get really crazy for better or worse, and I wonder if there might be some good frameworks for organizing mods. Mods in terms of how much variation universes have from player 1st universe or universe 0 or whatever it might become known as. Also systems for questmods only having a probability of being activated depending on NG+ number etc. So maybe classify universes based on how much they deviate from vanilla main quest and human dominated vs other things, so that when going through unity one can choose how strange a universe will be while still being surprised, and stranger universes could be locked behind large quests. I guess will also be a lot to think about in terms of what sort if mods need universes and what just needs locations. Best practices in terms game stability etc. Universe Classification Suggestions:0 alphaverses - The vanilla universe 1 betaverses - The default alt universes 2 gammaverses - Mod universes that change things similar to 1 3 deltaverses - Mod universes that drastically change things, but within established lore & faction dynamics 4 epsiloniverses - Mod universes that add completely original lore, intelligent beings, or factions 5 zetaverses - Mod universes that are original and have little in common with vanilla Starfield at all 6 etaverses - Mod universes from other games or media 7 thetaverses - Mod universes surreal or bizarre, where even physics may be completely different from normal reality, like backrooms, etc 8 omegaverses - mod universes that claim to be unity or replace/alter unity Hopefully something like this would make searching for or filtering out universe mods easier. Im liking the Greek since temples and artifacts already use that motif. Sort of fits to have correlating universe types. Greek Alphabet for reference:Α α, Β β, Γ γ, Δ δ, Ε ε, Ζ ζ, Η η, Θ θ, Ι ι, Κ κ, Λ λ, Μ μ, Ν ν, Ξ ξ, Ο ο, Π π, Ρ ρ, Σ σ/ς, Τ τ, Υ υ, Φ φ, Χ χ, Ψ ψ, Ω ω. Can also have certain mod quests events or characters that show up based on probability calculated by either ng+ # or number of universe types visited. Go to some surrealist universes to try and find mad surrealist painter starborn companions, etc. Edited October 31, 2023 by FALCmods4all
NeidhartRocks
Your additions sound really nice. now, even when ck will be released, we just need an army of modders to start creating all those multiverses...
