They are saying he had a long battle with substance abuse so I can understand this as alcohol in my life has been a constant demon. For anyone unaware, Matthew Perry was a big Fallout fan and voiced Benny in New Vegas. As he goes to the big vault in the sky, he gets to find out whether the game was truly rigged from the start.
