tortorici
So I was testing out Vista on my computer (with the 30 day trial) when I got Fallout 3, so i played it on Vista just fine (except for some crashes), but when i downgraded (upgrade in my opinion) back to XP, Fallout 3 won't install (but Oblivion still will) When i double click the disc it gives me an error saying there is something wrong with the .exe file and it should be reinstalled. I opened up the disc and double clicked on the specific setup file and the same exact error came up. Am I just screwed? I really don't want to spend money on a new OS and I don't think you can even purchase XP SP2 anymore (I really dislike Vista). Is there anything I can do? tortorici
Got it to work: Open the control panel, click add or remove programs. I'm sure you can figure it out from there
gsmanners
From what I've read, that error relates to this package: http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details...;displaylang=en There's also a mention of that problem on this page: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_patch_1.
