Glanzer
I just saw the following thread, so I downloaded the DLL and used it for about an hour. No problems yet. Would like to see others comment on this! http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/1vjcuw/ctdfreeze_memory_fixes_this_guy_pretty_much/
Vessek
I have been trying this out on a new save (100ish mods) at 7ugrids, god mode active+high rate of speed and zipping from one end of the world to the other....... usually i would have crashed to desktop within the first five min or so. been doing this for around an hour now and not a single crash.positive first impressions for sure. Will be increasing the load, and continue testing, but overall very excited about this new development.
chanchan05
Maybe it depends on your build. I have over 240 mods and I yet have to EVER hit more than 2GB RAM consumption, and Skyrim caps at 3.1GB anyway.
Lanceor
It's also being discussed at STEP. So far, there's been lots of positive reports and I've yet to see a negative one.
Lord Garon
I don't think the patch (for the SKSE loader right now) gives more RAM, per se. It allocates a larger buffer that seems to cause problems when it fills up and the system asks for more. I had a very stable game prior to this, but it would CTD during Vurt's stress test around the 6 minute mark. It won't crash at all now. But the patch was meant to fix a particular problem and may not help everyone with CTD issues. I built the 512MB patch (it doubles the original buffer size of 256MB) and have been testing my game with more and more mods. I have a load now that would randomly freeze in combat with lots of magic being used. Nada. Give the Big Boys a little more time to test this thing and it will undoubtedly show up in a mod (a loader or SKSE). There's always a chance for something like this to cause other problems, but it looks promising from where I'm sitting. The STEP crew and, I understand, Boris (of ENB fame), are testing it now. Personally, sheson (the patch inventor) is my nomination for Real Life Dragonborn; he may have slain a particularly nasty dragon that's been biting a lot of Skyrim players. Simulated
Do i need to install SKSE?Have done a lot of reading, but english is not my native language.I think i need a simple explanation for a way to install it.I already use Realvision ENB, and some other mods.Never did any tweaking for memory. Any help on this? :-)
Heliadhel
Simulated: im in the same boat. This find sounds pretty amazing and its well worth reading the 12 pages of techno-speak over on the STEP forum (link above in another post) to get a sense of whats going on and how to use it....however im lost to be honest as its all above my modding head and i will wait for the 'big boys' to package it up and make it more consumer friendly. From what im reading this is big news.. There are people over there running 15 and 17 UGrids to load stably (slow FPS but stably which is utterly unheard of) with this trick. Simulated
Yeah, I think I will wait a bit and see if it comes with an easy install method.Doesn't mean I won't work for it, but chances I screw it up are big!

Just 1 file and a little bit of text you add in the SKSE.ini and that it =)
