Old Timer but coming back.

Modded the hell out of Skyrim way back 10 yrs ago. Never really finished the game but played for many many hours.

Nexus was a godsend back then and I remember using a bunch of mods and amod downloader/organizer/loader from here.  I am sure things are a little different now

SkyUI was one of them.  I am starting up again and want to know what mods are critical in the areas of: User Interface, widescreen(2560x1080), better textures, gross bugfixes, etc. Not too interested in added content or game modification per se...just better graphics and UI.

I realize some of this stuff has probably been fixed in the SE edition but I am running the original Steam version and do not care to dump more money into a 12 yr old game.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started?

Well got that collection running, but for some reason SkyUI doesn't work right. It is cut off on the top and bottom. Probably because I'm running Widescreen 2560x1080. Tried Widescreen fix but it wouldn't even start (got some strange $Changeusr message at bottom right instead of the start game menu. From everything I can see the collection seems to be working.  The sounds mod seems to want to be configured every time I start which is annoying. Anyone have any ideas on SkyUI?!

I don't know if this information can help you, I use several of his mods: uranreactor, which make the SkyUI larger and several others, you could see if it has any format for the screen you use.

I once thought about installing those packs, although they save you work I always thought I was playing someone else's game, apart from that I imagined that I could find inconsistencies or even problems, even if you wanted to install new mods you would have to be aware if any have conflicts With the deese pack, I don't know, I was never a fan of doing it like that, I hope the SlyUI information is useful to you. I use MO2, there is a section where you can configure the .ini file and change the screen resolution, apart from the .ini of the game, I don't know if there is any similar option in vortex
