The1Sakishiro
Hey fellow law enforcement partners! Sakishiro aka CyberdyneSystemsModel101, aka 7scarsfollower, aka Alex Murphy here! (been a Robo fan for 35+ years) This thread will be the main thread for the RoboCop: Rogue City Mod Project that I have started. Here, I will post all the updates on the project, what's been done, and ideas for future mods. The purpose with this project is to make the game into the perfect RoboCop simulator that we long time fans have been wanting for far too long. And as I'm writing this, some fans are now even working on making Rogue City fully compatible with VR... There have been extremely few Robo game releases over the many years of the first two movie's existence. And even less good ones. So, Rogue City is actually the very first really good modern RoboCop game that's been released. And Teyon truly did an amazing job on the game for being just a double A game, and with the limited budget they had. But I have a feeling that this game will be the only RoboCop game that we will have for a very. Very. Very long time, (hope I'm wrong). Not because Rogue City did poorly, it actually did very well for a double A game. But the franchise is very old now (and so is Peter Weller so this might sadly be the last time for him as RoboCop), and the demands for a new RoboCop game are pretty low I'm afraid. But if that's the case, then it's even more reason to make Rogue City into the ultimate RoboCop game of all time. Alright, enough history and facts talk. Let's get to it! So far, we are three members of the project. Me as the project starter and commissioner (and some sound work as well), JetstreemDan the sound modder (amazing sound modder), and "auto9" Destiny Ivey the sound cleaner (an expert in cleaning sounds since 1997). I definitely would like to have more members. Especially experienced modders who know about UE4 and UE5 modding. Those modders will be very important for the future visual improving and gameplay improving mods. Here is a video of the sound mods that's been done so far: My preview and tribute video with all sound mods active: Big shoutout to JetstreemDan and "auto9" Destiny Ivey for these sound mods, and also to Lisht for the Auto-9 fire rate fix! This would not have been possible without them! These sound mods can be downloaded from these following links. Really makes a difference since the default gloves are just dark gray and even dark blue on the RoboCop 2 skin. Huge shoutout to Crubino for this mod! Update on the Glossy Gloves mod: Unfortunately, there is still dark blue/navy blue color on the gloves when you're under certain light sources with the RoboCop 2 skin. If someone could fix this and make them glossy pitch black, that would be most appreciated. Glossy Gloves: https://www.nexusmods.com/robocoproguecity/mods/30 Here is the section where I will post other mod ideas and requests for the game that will improve the immersion and authenticity even more. I have one request. Willing to commission as well if needed: A mod that changes the button for registering targets instead of the aim button. I hate that it’s the same as the aim button. Should have definitely been on another idle button instead. I want the mod to tie that target register function to another idle button on a Xbox One Elite Series 2 controller (I prefer playing on controllers), or on any keyboard or mouse button (for the keyboard and mouse users). Other mod ideas would be to make the muzzle flash from the Auto-9 movie accurate by having added flames to the left and right sides as well. And also a mod that makes bodies not disappear after they are dead. Also, "auto9" Destiny Ivey have done a clean up job on the iconic mechanical humming from Robo from the first movie, so we can have that play in the background while playing the game. Pretty nice solution huh? That will be the best solution since you can adjust the volume to your liking, and also turn it on or off whenever you feel like it with just a press of a button. So no mod implementation will be necessary for the humming sound. Even Angry Joe mentioned this humming sound missing from the game in his review (he LOVES the game by the way ^^). Link to when he talks about it here: That's all for now. Please do come back and check this thread now and then since I will be posting updates frequently here. And feel free to post more ideas that will benefit the immersion and authenticity. Thank you for your cooperation, good night! jojo670
Congratulations on this superb project, I like Robocop since I was little, one of my favorite movie ever. I wish I could help but I don't have the necessary skills. To add an idea to the project, here is the music that I would dream of having as a replacement in the game ; Babylon AD - The kid goes wild ! Here is the official channel with the song without the added shooting sound effects etc from the previous video. Yeah, I've also thought about having this awesome song instead of that awful Nuke rock song played in the game. No offense to Teyon of course. They did the best they could with that limited budget. I have even made the necessary modifications to the song so it will fit better in the game. Here are two versions I've made. One with the bass increased that will fit in the Arcade, and one with both bass increased, and echo so it sounds more like it's played live, and will fit in the concert section of the game. jojo670
Thanks, very nice work, the sound is really great and clean in the MDR-7506. Having this music in this both parts of the game would be a huge improvement. Teyon really did an amazing job in this game, they gave us a huge gift, and I feel the passion of the developers when analyzing the game. The Robocop franchise has been respected and honored as it should be. I hope passionate modders will make the final changes that everyone will like. The1Sakishiro
Update(December 19th): Still trying to find modders who know how to mod Unreal Engine 5 games. Seems harder than I anticipated. Would be very appreciated if others could help me with this search as well. I really want to be able to release other mods besides just sound mods for this project. Will give credit to all those who help out. And as I mentioned before. Also willing to commission the mods because I’m aware that there is quite a lot of work behind the mods. KeeperOfFirearms
I hope it's OK to make requests... I'd really like to have cartridge cases eject from the Auto-9; I have no idea why they don't. Mind you, most of the case ejection is really lethargic in this game so I'd probably only want it if it could really kick them out with some authority. Possibly asking for the moon on a stick here but hey, I nitpick this stuff for a living over at Gamespot

I haven’t actually thought about the cartridge cases eject from the Auto-9 in the movies. Maybe because the muzzle flash is so big that it got most of the attention. If you could write down which scenes you can see the cartridge cases eject from the gun, then please do. Would be interesting to analyze. And sure, a cool mod to do also, if we find a modder that can do that. Update(December 26): Merry Xmas everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Xmas with family and friends! The RoboCop Rogue City Mod Project however, unfortunately, is still in a stalemate. Still haven’t been able to find any modder that can do visual and gameplay mods. At this point, I expect no free modding of those kind of mods, and I’m more than willing now to commission them, and also pay good price for the mods. I guess that’s the only way now to have a chance at them being done. I’ve also got a lot more cleaned up sounds from “auto9” Destiny Ivey, so many awesome sound mods can still be released. But I see no point in doing that right now until at least the three main mods that I requested in the first post, have been done. So, please , if anyone has the time, please help me find a modder that is interested in doing mods through commissions.

The1Sakishiro
Update(January 4th): Still haven't found any modder(s) that are capable of doing visual and gameplay mods via commissions, unfortunately. Again, any help with the search would be incredibly appreciated. Here is good news though! I've continued with improving the game through sound mods, and here is a video preview of a new 2 in 1 mod! This one was complicated to make, but JetstreamDan succeeded thanks to his TERRIFIC skills, combined with my Sound Forge Pro mix knowledge. Huge shoutout and thanks to him, and "auto9" Destiny Ivey for the AMAZING sound clean ups! This 2 in 1 mod will be released VERY soon! Stay tuned!
