SmallHadronCollider
Mark of the Rift is your first Mark ability. Then, after you pick a specialization, you get another, which is rampage in the Reaver tree. While I realize that Iron Bull is a Reaver, Rampage makes NO sense for the inquisitor to use. It gives you +10% attack speed and +10% damage and 10% lifesteal at level 1. Look, the lifesteal is meh. If you can't keep your HP up on reaver then you can't play Reaver. The lifesteal is meaningless, and it actually just decreases your damage output IF you rely on low HP to increase your damage. The attack speed makes no sense because Reavers spam devour and dragon rage a lot. In 10 seconds you will barely end up attacking a few times. You will spam abilities. Okay. So then you get a flat 10% damage buff. Ok? So there are like 50 other abilities that give you way more than that, and they don't cost so much focus. ALTERNATIVELY Consider the Mark of the Rift AOE ability. Lasts roughly as long. FIRST IT'S AOE, totally has the opportunity to multiply its damage output by 2x-5x YOU CAN ALSO HIT PEOPLE WITH YOUR REGULAR REAVER ABILITIES during this time, so a full 90% of Rampage-enhanced damage is STILL GOING TO BE GETTING PUT DOWN IN THE FIGHT WHILE MARK OF THE RIFT IS ACTIVE Rampage is useless! In order for it to be useful for Reavers we have to insist that our Reaver tree is different from Iron Bull's tree. The inquisitor has to get something that is competitive with Mark of the Rift. Perhaps the idea is that the inquisitor uses the reaver's specialization for a long-term benefit that is focused on winning a fight. It doesn't MAKE you win the fight but it's meant for that, not just point and click delete that mark of the rift does. for 25, 30, and 35 seconds by Focus level you should get some kind of significant damage resistance. Like 20% general resist. Add 5 guard on hit. Reduce ALL stamina costs by 40%. And maybe something else. idk. Whatever is better than what it currently is.
