Trying to rename a plugin file in CK, nothing on the internet, looking for help

Recommended Posts

Around a month ago I would say I was experimenting with scrapping mechanics and made a test plugin of being able to clean up Boston Airport and have more settlement freedom. I am now turning towards making this an actual mod to make other settlements scrappable. However, because it was just to test it out as a CK newbie, I just left it as: "F4BostonAirportCleanable.esp" . The issue is that the mod will take place around the entire Commonwealth and dont want anyone to confuse it with just the airport settlement.

I have been trying to find something on the internet only to get no or the wrong CK results(thanks skyrim modding community). Ive tried to mess with controls in the Creation Kit and i thought i almost lost 30 minutes of progress on editing Nordhagen Beach when I pressed something crashing CK. This is stressing me out. Reminder im a newbie to CK and dont know a lot about this program, so I please ask for a simple and easy solution. I'd appreciate it.

(nothing has been uploaded yet, it still remains a plugin, and has already been tested at the airport location)

You can simply rename the plugin file in your Fallout 4/Data folder then reload it into the Creation Kit. File names are not baked into plugins, you can rename it like any other file. Papyrus scripts may contain functions which contain hardcoded filenames but since it's your plugin this is not an issue.

Can't find said Data folder in the Fallout4 file folder.
