Corgrim
All, I see that this is a common question over the years, but I haven't yet seen an answer that works for my situation. PC Windows 10 Epic install I have Skyrim SE, installed via Epic. I've been running it for a little while, and it works great. I'd like to add some modifications, and thought NMM would be the easiest way to do it. On installation, NMM detected the Skyrim install folder just fine. However, when trying to install a mod, it says it can't find the Skyrim.ini file. I've got a dozen Skyrim ini files, but none of them is precisely 'skyrim.ini', nor can I find such a file anywhere on my system, including in folders other posts suggest looking at. I've tried having NMM rescan the Skyrim folder starting Skyrim from within NMM itself (including saving a new saved game) searching the entire machine for a skyrim.ini file searching for Skyrim files elsewhere (not in the main install folder) reading through posts here and elsewhere It looks like lots of people had this problem, but I haven't seen a posted solution. Have I missed it, or should I just give up on NMM and install mods by hand?
wfandrews
As I recall NMM Community Edition will not work with the Epic install of SSE. Might have to try MO2 or Vortex. Although I do not know if the same holds true for them.
Pickysaurus
Vortex works fine with the Epic version, just keep in mind SKSE doesn't
