Ok, I thought I had broken the code on how to prevent "defend" quests, but now...

So for  a long time I been using both these programs:

This one has on option to set to 0% chance defend quests PLUS a block toggle for all quests with Defend in the name.

Also in the past this was helpful.

For a long time "Defend quest" had left me alone.

but in recent weeks. they are coming hot and heavy, usually  a pair of of typical message from the former program informing me "Settlment X is suffering a deathclaw attack, but settlement victory certain"

And then at same time."Defend settlement Y"

I felt like a pretty abrupt change.

maybe an adtional mod I dowloaded messed wit a load order?

I thought maybe both these programs interfere with each other, so I tried to run with either turned off but still the same problem "Defend" quests on my fortresses a plenty.

I have 34 settlements.

Any ideas?

Personally I don't remove, add or even update mods on an existing play through.

Too much to lose for so little gain.

The problem predates me enabling /disabling these mods to try to troubleshoot the problem. 🙂

It was your comment here which led me to post what I did:

which came after the one where you said for the longest the Defend quests had left you alone.

Point well taken Sir. I am grateful for any help or pointers.

For now my "Defend quest suppression" mods seem to be working again. 🙂

It's hard, it really is to not be tempted to add things to a play through you've invested 10's, 100's or 1,000's hours to.

Takes a certain kind of mindset - like "when will (or even if) I ever start another play through from scratch".
