FO4 Creating Multiple Instances of executable

Hello All!

For some reason FO4 is creating multiple exes in addition to the original using F4SE as launcher . Been using SE and mods for 10 years including Skyrim and I have never seen this kind of thing before. Naturally it keeps killing my game when it happens (which is frequently). In the attached image you will see TWO additional FO4 exes running. Any idea how to stop this??

THANKS !!!

That happens to me when:

a) I launch Fallout 4 before the previous launch attempt completes. When I click launch for Fallout 4, I watch to see if the pop up for F4SE opens up. Sometimes it doesn't. But when it fails to open I wait almost a minute to make sure it isn't still launching. If I were to try again to launch it, I can get two instances of Fallout 4 running at the same time.

b) I use alt-F4 to close Fallout 4. This usually doesn't fully close the game, and I get a Fallout 4 running in the background. If I ever use alt-F4 to close Fallout 4, I open the task manager and check for it still running in which I kill it from the task manager.

What you describe would happen to me regularly if I didn't take such care to make sure the game launches before I try clicking again to launch it.

Thanks,  yeah I only click the F4SE launcher once, it can take some to start but it always does. I don't hit the launcher twice. I always use Task manger to kill the non responsive game (which is what precipitates this whole thing, I fire up Task Manager to close the problematic game when I noticed other "mirrors" were running in the back ground). I believe it's the creation of these additional pop up exes that brick my game during play. There is absolutely nothing on Google as far as I can see that speaks specifically to this issue. MS Knowledgebase  gets WAY into the weeds about something similar but that's WAY over my head.
