7531Leonidas
Well, then dig down into your Skyrim Special Edition folder, and make sure that the three files in part 2 made it into that folder. You can use the Open Game Folder, in the menu bar of the Mods tab of Vortex to get there quickly. Check for the d3ddx9_42.dll, the tbb.dll, and the tbbmalloc.dll. The files have the Date Modified of 2019-01-19 for the first, 2020-07-10 for the other two. I was under the impression that the part 2 had to be manually extracted into the game folder, check and make sure that Vortex put them in the right spot. I don't know how you got Vortex to install part 2, unless you used the drag n drop method, or the 'Install From File' at the top of the Mods page in Vortex.

It was the "Install From File" option. I honestly can't thank you guys enough for your help with this. I can rebuild a Harley from the ground up, but am a special kind of stupid when it comes to modding.

Nobody's born with either skills, though. And I'm sure I'd be just as "stupid" at rebuilding a Harley, due to my own lack of experience with such things.
GreybeardRanger
SOME success! Not longer getting an error message, but all I get now is the Bethesda logo, the Skyrim dragon logo and......a spinning wheel. But hey, it's progress right? Y'all have been FAR more help than I ever thought I'd get with this!

You said to look for the d3ddx9_42.dll file, but the Engine Fixes only has d3dx9_42.dll 1 x in the name as opposed to 2. Did a quick search, apparently d3ddx9_42.dll is a core component of DirectX, so I'm going to go ahead and reinstall that. Will let you know how it pans out.
