DirebearCoat
So, I've got Vortex installed, with the following mods installed and running: 1) Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch 2) Quest Journal Fix For SkyUI (Quest Journal Fixes - FOMOD) 3) Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) 4) Address Library for SKSE Plugins "All in one-32444-2.XXXX" (It's a zip folder. This zip contains the version 1.5.XXX files which pertain to the "Special Edition" version.) 5) SkyUI_5_2_S. (The following are optional but recommended bug fixes for SkyUI) 6) FixNotesForSkyUI SKSE64 2.0.12 7) SkyUI - Ghost Item Bug Fix. (There were a couple of other optional bug fixes, but I didn't install them.) Are there any other Utility Patch mods that you guys think I might need to help Skyrim run smoothly before I start adding mods for fields, forests, housing, NPC behavior, etc? Or am I all set? EDIT: I added another mod. I forgot, I wanted to add. 8 ) MoreHud SE - AE Edited February 28 by DirebearCoat
Indio21
The following guide link pointed me to a lot of the fixes. Since, I have noticed several collections doing the same. Both maybe worth while to follow up on. Hope it helps https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2944593951
DirebearCoat
Damn! Those guides are huge!! I'll save that for the future! Thanks for the link, though. I read all of the preparatory parts of the guide, at the beginning, and I can see that I would have to go back and start from scratch. I'll save that for a future project (which, if my current foray into modding breaks my game, won't be too far into the future. LOL).

The author tells one how to do and arrange everything in good detail. Once you are past the fix, utilities, etc for a base, carry on as you want. Its basically what I did. I am at like 624 active plugins and things run great. I hold a flat 60 fps pretty much everywhere I've tested. I've picked over some collections to for a source to find mods. Pages of search results can get daunting to go through for the latest greatest when one is not in the know, like me. I try to use every short cut I can as new and updated mods always happening then add in the mix of beth updates and even a mod from a year ago can now be replaced. Just tips to help you get going.
