Xenovion
I've recently tried starting a game of modded skyrim through mod organizer 2 and my mods are out of date. I want to update them but I dont understand how.
AaronOfMpls
STEP has a guide about using Mod Organizer. Look to the section on installing and updating mods. Basically, you download the new version of the mod, and install it much like any other mod.

AaronOfMpls
Keep in mind, though -- sometimes updates will be optional files, like optional features, or patches for compatibility with other mods you might not have. Or occasionally a mod will have different files for different versions of the game: current Steam release, GOG release, and downgraded/pre-Anniversary Update. So definitely read any version history, the mod description page, the file descriptions, and maybe stickied posts in the mod's comments.
