darklghter Posted March 10, 2024 Share Posted March 10, 2024 ok so ive scoured the forums , reinstalled vortex and removed all aspects and reinstalled again no joy , vortex hangs when clicking a mod or pretty much doing anything. once you click on another section it runs fine but the moment you click on any form of action it just hangs , takes 10 mins then performs the action. its become pretty unusable - HELP!! mainly running mods for bg3 (qol & extras) Vortex version 1.9.12 system specs Rzyen 9 3.3ghz 32gb ram win 11 pro 22h3 - fully udpated drivers for everything 3080 16gb gcard 2x 1tb nvme SSDS with pleny of space Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AaronOfMpls Posted March 10, 2024 Share Posted March 10, 2024 I've never used Vortex myself, but this kind of thing can happen to any program if your antivirus is looking too closely over its shoulder. For most antivirus programs (including the default one built into Windows), you should be able to whitelist Vortex if this is indeed what's causing the trouble. I have uninstalled, deleted files, and reinstalled both vortex and BG3. repaired latest C++ from MS. Optimized SSD. I have come here with no other ideas.
