hehaheh
After the latest update I cannot modify anything, vortex is slow and bugging. My mods are constantly purging and redeploying as if they were never deployed. I modify a few mods, it then says mods need to be deployed, it deploys ALL MY 1k MODS AGAIN, but then purges itself again over and over again, then asks for deployment. The load order is messed up, I have 15 mods redundant because vortex decided to overwrite one mods with others(it wasnt like this before). What do I do? I tried clonning my modlist but it didn't help. I explained whats going on in my video, please check it out:
Nagev
Hi there, The purge event upon mod conflict resolution is down to the fact that you have a mod type conflict which was not detected previously and therefore was not correctly resolved. 1.10.6 may unfortunately detect issues you were not aware of previously. If any mod redundancies/conflicts arise as part of your update; simply allow the purge to complete and resolve any outstanding redundancies (by disabling said mods) and/or use the conflict editor to resolve any newly detected conflicts. What you're seeing is down to past selections you have made in the External Changes Dialog (ECD), potentially months ago if not years; Vortex is now trying to correct itself. If the purge/deployment loop persists, can you please try to re-install said mods - that should ensure that the mod is no longer redundant if it was previously. (unless of course you have a rule that overrides all of that mod's files) Do you mind posting your vortex.log files here? they're located in `%appdata%/vortex`
hehaheh
I had a big texture pack mod along with small other packs. They worked well, i made small packs to overwrite some textures from the big one, i managed it very carefully to make them work alongside each other. But after the update the big mod started overwriting every other small package. The cloud mod that I have, got overwritten by another mod, jhowever before I managed it so that wasnt supposed to. I had two movement sets animations working together well, i used one for walk/idle, another one for running. After the update one mod completely overwritten the other one. It simply doesnt even allow me to fix it. And yes, it purges after EVERY change, even after reinstalling the mod, and it takes a lot of time to do both deployment and purging that vortex does for no entire reason. I genuinely think it's a bug and not some kind of a new feature. It purges after ANY CHANGE, and requires a DEPLOYMENT, that just sets the mod back into its state, overwriting other files. Nagev
Ok, lets have a closer look at your setup - can you create a state backup; Settings Page -> Workarounds Tab -> create backup and save it anywhere. Create an archive which includes your vortex.log files (again can be found in %appdata%/vortex) and the json file you generated, upload the zip to your google drive and share that link with me on Discord (my id is nagev_) Just tag me on the nexusmods server and I'll dm you. disscateka
exactly the same problem. I spent the whole day completely reinstalling my assembly (1600+ mods), but the result is the same, 50 mods according to Vortex are unnecessary, when I try to change the recording rules, the links are immediately cleared. Dear developers, there is clearly something wrong with your update, please look, version 1.10.6 breaks everything Edited March 11 by ks182

Dear developers, there is clearly something wrong with your update, please look, version 1.10.6 breaks everything I also forward this! 1780 Mods installed for Skyrim:AE. No issues before the 1.10.6 Vortex client update. Vortex telling me some mods are redundant after the forced purge and rollout. They are most definetly not redundant nor are they overwritten by another mod. Was this update release without proper testing? EDIT: Changing rules also wont change a thing concerning the false positive on redundant mods. Also there is this annoing auto purge, everytime I do a rule change. disscateka
7 minutes ago, fxhome said: I’m almost sure that something is broken in the program update, I hope the problem will be solved today, it was very disappointing to lose all my recording rules(
Maprikan
Vortex makes a purge every time I install a mod after the update. Fallout 4 Also purge when I uninstall a mod. It is not displaying any conflicts or redundant mods. Edited March 11 by Maprikan
Furan316
I am having the exact same problem. This update has destroyed everything. Obviously there is some kind of glitch. I hope this will be remedied as soon as possible.
