Hello

so i recently updated a few mods and added ASIS

and ever since that I've been getting random crashes.

Skyrim was working fine up until then.

And on my wrye bash i get this

but when I run BOSS it says that everything is ok.
Since I know that BOSS can't always be trusted 100% i wanted to ask what's wrong with my mod order, what's causing things to crash?

Here is my BOSS log, thanks in advance.

also: I do understand that some mods are dirty but I'm afraid to clean them since sometimes cleaning only makes it worse, but if you think I should I will give it a shot.

Well, first off, the bashed patch should be below everything except the plugins specifically designated to come after it. You should move your unrecognized plugins to just above it, if nothing else.

The orange checkboxes mean that the files the plugin depends on aren't in the order the plugin expects them. You'd have to either re-sort their parent plugins to match or use the "Sort Masters" function of TES5Edit to fix that.

Beyond that, I don't know much about the mods you're using and can't say what could be causing your CTDs, other than the obvious "updating or removing plugins mid-game can mess up your saves" and "using too many plugins causes instability".

OH the bashed patch haha okay ^^

and thank you, the "sort masters" worked perfectly

i will put bashed on bottom now and try it again, thanks for replying so fast

edit: i haven't edited any plugins, i updated one or two at the most.

over all i have only added new mods since the beginning of the game, i haven't removed/changed any (i learned my lesson not to remove mods that rely on script haha)

edit 2: I just found out that I get a crash every time I open the Kyr's Bounty item? wtf?

here is my new mod order log

Clean the dirty mods - in my experience, they only improve matters, not make them worse. Do a Google search for 'Jeir tes5edit' to find my condensed version of the cleaning guide.

You should only have Moonpath and related plugins active when you're actually playing it, and to disable them after. It's a huge mod, and is known to cause issues if you run it all the time.

Bashed patch belongs before the Reproccer.esp, so let BOSS move it, as it's correct.

but if i disable moonpath won't there be a loss of scripts in the saves?

and sure i will clean everything ^^

also should i let boss place bashed patch whereever it wants, or only before reproccer.esp?

I've never played Moonpath, but pretty much every time it comes up in someone's BOSS log when someone's posting about issues, they always get told to only have it activated when playing it, not before and not after. So, I would assume it would be safe enough to do as recommended.

In my experience, BOSS has only ever been wrong about cosmetic mods in my load order (putting them before AFT, EEO etc.), and I have a pretty stable game.

what if I reload an older safe where, while it's still activated, i haven't started the quest? I activated it ever since i left Helgen and played a few days without following the quest, i just started following it yesterday... if I reload older saves where I didn't go there and get all the items and stuff will it be safer, or is it just the same? (I don't know why I assume you might know, though, I'm just looking for the safest way to do it, don't feel like starting a new game xD)

as for cosmetic mods - I'm not sure what you mean :/

If you've started the quest, then continue with it, and deactivate Moonpath after. Better to deactivate stuff before you begin anything.

Cosmetic mods are mods that change an NPC's hair, makeup, warpaint, face shape...or all the above. They need to go below mods like AFT and EEO, else those mods may overwrite them, but BOSS puts pretty much all of the ones I've installed above those mods.

so you're suggesting that it's better i don't load the older save, even though I haven't followed the quest? I mean, sure, I will do it, but that confuses me a little xD

And I see... isn't EEO cosmetic as well?

You said you had started it. If you haven't, then deactivate it and reactivate it when you do want to play Moonpath.

EEO affects all elves, and thus if I put the cosmetic mods I have that affect single NPCs before it, it will overwrite them and cause some issues. By putting them after, they overwrite EEO and I get the NPC appearances I want.
