anjenthedog Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Curious if anyone else has run into this and if you have, how'd you solve it? Specifically, if you look towards the top of the snapshot, you'll notice that the "clouds" are ~brown and a bit blocky and unblended with the surrounding clouds . Almost look like distant mountains... (they're not) It might be intentional, but somehow I don't think so... Another example
AaronOfMpls Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 Not something I've seen, sorry. Are you using any mods that change the clouds?
anjenthedog Posted March 20, 2024 Author Posted March 20, 2024 Real Clouds, but that's about it afaik. The issue, (fyi, intermittent), reared its head long before I installed real clouds though (by at least two years, maybe going back to when In first started playing in spring 2019). I guess I just never got around to dealing with it til now.
AaronOfMpls Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 Hmm... Have you checked your graphics drivers already? 1
7531Leonidas Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 I could swear that I have seen this before, but I just can't remember when/what. Do you run Majestic Mountains, especially in conjunction with the lightside/darkside underlayment? 1

This is a random and *intermittent* issue, not a static one that one might associate with a 'firmware' or ~similar (GPU driver) issue.

No majestic mountains. the reference to "lightside/darkside" sounds vaguely familiar though...maybe from a community shaders addon, not sure

Years ago, I had intermittent graphics glitches in a different game -- until I updated my graphics drivers. Though if it's intermittent, has there been any pattern to when it happens? Time of day, weather, etc?
