Valren37
So I'm trying to come back to skyrim modding in 2024. I haven't done it since like 2021 and I know that there have been some recent updates that are breaking everything. I currently have the latest version of SKSE available on vortex installed, but every time I try to launch with SKSE I get a DLL plugin failed to load error. The message says the plugin is not compatible with the current game version so either there is a way to update it that I am not aware of and getting the current SKSE64 build from vortex doesn't do that automatically, or I have done something else wrong, or SKSE just hasn't been fixed for the current game version at all so I have to wait till it is. Does anyone know what the issue is here? I am at my wits end with this and have tried everything I know how to do (which admittedly isn't a lot). Thanks. AaronOfMpls
First of all, there's a big list of SKSE plugins' status on Modding.wiki. There's also more about the Dec and Jan updates' issues in the Nexus Skyrim SE forum (which is somewhat hidden in Game Communites above, unless you hit Forums on the Skyrim LE or SE sections of the main Nexus Mods). Looking up FISS, there's info about patching the most recent version in the mod's comments (since its author isn't playing Skyrim at the moment). And Engine Fixes, make sure you have the newest version, and modify its .toml file to work around an issue. Edited March 25 by AaronOfMpls
