Modding Fallout New Vegas is making me hate the damn game

I have spent hours trying to solve this problem and it is making me hate the game and making me REALLY f*#@ING ANGRY. I have followed MULTIPLE guides and do EXACTLY as they say but for some reason I get this stupid error message. I have the game installed so I do not know what on earth is even going on. What am I supposed to do when the mod organizer program just says f*#@ YOU??????

Check that your file paths for NV are correct in Mod Organizer: 

• Go to Settings → Paths tab, and make sure Managed Game is pointing to FalloutNV.exe in whatever folder you installed it to. 
• And go to the big pulldown next to Run → <Edit...>, and make sure the entries for New Vegas's .exe's are pointing to the right places.

(Screenshots below are from my Mod Organizer install for Skyrim LE; I don't have New Vegas set up in Mod Organizer yet.  And some of my paths are a little goofy since I'm on Linux, not Windows.  But we're still putting the same kinds of info in the same places in MO.)
