Copy with different name with either different model or none at all

There's a mod that made jewelry with nice effects but I don't think they look good on male. As you might have assume they're created at chemistry stations. If possible, I'd like for the item to appear right before or right after with the same name appended with " for men", which the only difference would be either having a different model or none at all.

If a model is made I'd like it to be inconspicuous. Perhaps a silver matte dot, like

, or maybe something a bit more visible but would attract little attention, alike the MacGyver earrings of Elegant Hardware - A Jewelry Modification at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community, looking like a paper clip was haphazardly turned in a small loop.

How would one suggest I do this? If possible I'd like to future-proof it so if the earring change name the copy will change along without having to create another version, and of course the same for stat changes.

Thank you kindly

I haven't worked much with the CK, but from xEDIT I can see that it is no problem to have separate models for male and female on the same object:

That outfit has a model only for female and simply refers to a vanilla outfit when used on a male actor.

So no need to create a separate crafting for male, you can just use the existing object, but use a different model. Even if that model is not visible (by putting it inside the head or using a fully transparent texture for example)

Abut the sorting: Not sure if it is by ID or alphabetically, but that should be easy to figure out. And if you use the same crafting entry for both (with different models) there is no need to have a separate entry in the first place.

I've never used xEDIT, can you point me to a chapter of a guide from which I could do what you suggested?

They are not suggesting you use xEdit, they are just looking at the data entries with xEdit. Use the CK to assign a model of your choice to the male version of the armor object.
