Guest deleted143102893
It's well known that Mr.House has Securitrons watching everyone out there keeping tabs so why are there no encounters with any Securitrons out in the wastelands? So I propose a mod where there's at least 1 Securitron nearby or not too far from every major faction group. Maybe on some high elevation peak hill or mountain overlooking the Legion, NCR, Brotherhood of Steel, The Boomers, etc. Supposedly Mr.House can see everything and has monitoring capabilities to a degree out in the wastelands so it just makes sense that he has a few dozen something out there keeping a watchful eye on everybody. They don't have to be hostile unless attacked. Preferably they wouldn't be attacked by wildlife animals because they aren't living entities ( would be funny if Brahmin or Bighorners would flee from them! lol ) but maybe a few encounters with Brotherhood or fiends just having a natural tendency to mess around with valuables/tech. A mod like this would be ULTRA lore friendly and should have been in the vanilla game! They could also become hostile to the player by bad reputation via faction to Mr.House allegiance being broken having sided with either Legion or NCR assassination attempts on Mr.house and his robots. There could also be a few DEAD Securitrons out in the waste (just like the DEAD prospectors) lying around. Maybe put them together with dead with prospectors or dead Brotherhood??? Just to add to the lore that there was past conflicts out in the wasteland where everyone died in battle??? For the loot the Securitrons could have on them the things they use for combat. Missiles, Micro-fusion ammo, 9mm ammo, and scrap metal(s). Then after the in-game story Mr.House Platinum chip UPGRADE maybe increase their presence a bit. Not necessarily squads or anything major like an army but maybe double the amount in new locations. Still just 1 by themselves out there but now more of them to encounter as if increasing the endgame tension and stakes!! Also they could maybe sport a new face screen!? Since they aren't policing the strip or an army just yet MAYBE they could have a new face out in the wasteland!? Maybe a typical 1950s face? Same voice as the police or army versions since they are all the same machine essentially but a new face screen. That or a private eye investigator face!? Or maybe a scout master!?! Forest ranger!? Christopher Columbus!?!? A pioneer!?!? new.bmp And lastly the player could interact with them to either speak to victor or Mr.House since they are accessible by LOGIC on all Securitrons. The Securitrons on the strip should also have these options in general. They are a part of a network after all. Yes-Man Securitron could appear on all of them if the Courier goes on the path of choosing an independent New Vegas without Mr.house!! AND If Mr.House is dead and Yes-Man is NOT chosen for an alliance then all the Securitrons everywhere could have a blank or static screen and basically be dead and not move ever temporarily until the player intentionally starts the Yes-Man quest. laclongquan
An interesting idea, if only lore breaking. Lore breaking, as in it change House's behaviour. Mr House has been acting quite low key, with leaving most of activities in The Strips to 3 mafia groups and some of it to NCR embassy. Outside of Freeside and Strip, his only presence is Victor, reflecting his behaving very unnoticed. If he has enough resource to station securitrons to outside, say Mojave Outpost, or Primm, Sloan, Novac, why did he not organize an armed group moving the Chip as fast as possible from Primm to Strip? using couriers is purely a misdirection tactic of not having not enough muscle. A group of five Securitron can be quite tough indeed~
Guest deleted143102893
Well I remember Benny's origin story in-game where he and his "tribe" destroyed a securitron on first contact! I don't know but it gave me the impression that the securitrons were out there in the wastes. Not to mention the Victor program is 1 of multiple securitrons out there already simultaneously running at the same time. There's one at Victor's shack hanging around Goodsprings but there are the others active in and around the lucky 38 casino. There's also the one on top of the El Dorado Substation mountain where house gives his demonstration. The securitrons really should have a presence out in the wasteland(s). After all Mr.House knew about the threat of the Brotehrhood of Steel bunker! By logic there must be a Securitron out there somewhere monitoring from a distance. According to Mr.House's origin story; Mr.House was actively watching for the nukes so he WAS monitoring everything constantly. His Securitrons are his eyes and ears everywhere!! It would, again, be very costly for him NOT to know everything about everyone. Caesar does this with scouts, NCR has rangers, but Mr.House should have something out there looking out over everything as discretely as possible. Victor himself always shows up out of nowhere stalking the player. There should just be Securitrons out there. Having a dozen more out there is not Mr.house's Securitron army; it would just be his eyes and ears throughout the Mojave... Also Mr.House wasn't soo low-key after the platinum chip upgrade. After that HE was very noticed by everyone watching HIM. Logically if they are watching HIM then HE should be watching THEM!! Also the Securitrons wouldn't be stationed anywhere noticeable but they would be watching from somewhere I think!? Maybe similar to how the Brotherhood of steel has reconnaissance scouts from high altitude areas hidden from view... Mr.House could have had multiple Securitrons moving the platinum chip but it would obviously no doubt would have attracted a lot of attention and sabotaged his own plan. Mr.house is always calculating probability. For whatever reason he hired multiple couriers to sneak the platinum chip (Mr.House obviously knew he was being monitored by everyone). It's easy to recognize a big hulking Securitron but a dozen mailmen couriers across the mojave is a challenge. According to the the in-game story the other couriers were tracked to and possibly killed for the platinum chip. Only 1 of them had the actual platinum chip which Benny steals successfully from the player at the beginning of the game's story... Also Mr.House, according to in-game story, doesn't rely on Securitrons as affective or formidable WITHOUT the platinum chip upgrade! Benny's tribe supposedly took 1 securitron out with their standard firepower. This is why the platinum chip upgrade, which mr.house doesn't posses yet, is soo vital. Maybe there shouldn't be as much out there BEFORE the upgrade but there should definitely be some out there AFTER the upgrade!! My point is that it should be more noticeable. You should be running into them on occasion out in the middle of nowhere spying on someone. We see NCR and Legion scouts but never securitrons!? Something's not right if you ask me... There should be more there. Somewhere not far from legion and ncr camps. Somewhere hidden in hidden valley keeping tabs on brotherhood of steel. laclongquan
10 security trons can move from Primm to the Strips in half a night if they force their way through Northern Goodsprings and that deathclaw over there. or circle wide through Primm pass to Novac, risking the raiders (Vipers ) that way. The distance is that short. 5 security trons can move from Primm to the Strip the tutorial way: Primm, cross country toward Nipton but circle the town, on the road toward Wolfhorn then follow 95 up north. The roads allow for fast moving (ideal for their wheels), quick enough they can even outrun ambushers and chasers.
