Horizon Forbidden West - Failed to set game mode

Hi having trouble using vortex on Horizon Forbidden West. I manually set the location for vortex to the game's folder where horizon forbidden west was installed but can't seem to open the game in vortex to manage it.

Error:

Greetings! Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. 

The path to the game that you've typed appears to be to the save file location, though with a couple of typos as well. Within Vortex, click on Games from the left-hand column, then the vertical ellipses at the top right corner of Horizon Forbidden West, choose "Manually Set Location". 

The location should be to the root folder of the game's installation, where the .exe is located. The path should appear something like "C:\steam\steamapps\common\Horizon Forbidden West". If you're unsure of where the game is installed, you can click right click on the game from your Steam library, choose "Manage" and then "Browse Local FIles". This will open the appropriate file location and you could copy the address from the top and paste that into Vortex.

Hey, I don't have a genuine copy of the game. I've manually set the location to where I installed the game. It has the .eve file here. Maybe mods just won't work on a non genuine copy
