Rough guide - for instance, do not install the tickker mod that eliminates stutters. It's unstable. Do turn off autosaves for fast travel - that will save a few CTDs. Personally, I use vortex. I found it more user friendly and reliable with FO4 and have had no problems with it for FONV. Hasn't Viva New Vegas recommended NVTF (New Vegas Tick Fix ../mods/66537) over NVSR for over a year now? Pellape
So what about using the original mod manager Wrye Bash from 2004, still updated not long ago, latest version is available at Wrye Discord together with LOOT? Both my F3 and FNV works extremely stable. But I also get a feeling when I see some cool mods, if they might cause issues, but that is the experience you get after 20 years with Bethesda modding. I do make a guess when I see mods, about how they are made, if they will make or might cause issues as some really do.
