SignedName
Would be cool if enemies sometimes surrender if they're overpowered or their allies are killed, and fleeing was more common so fewer people fight to the death. Some factors contributing to flee/surrender chance could be how their ally died (i.e. limbs getting cut off/exploded, disintegrations, etc. have more effect), Terrifying Presence perk, whether you're aiming at them, etc. Adjustment to ally behavior so they don't shoot fleeing enemies would also be nice. The FO4 Intimidation and Project Ultimatum mods kind of do this, but I'm looking for something without too many extra mechanics (surrender just making them throw down their weapons and de-aggro while playing a surrender animation, and maybe flee when you're far enough away) and something that comes up in natural gameplay without having to specifically choose to use a "force surrender" command. sullyvanj93
This is already a base game mechanic and happens quite often, depending on the NPC's Confidence level. While the game makes quite a few characters "foolhardy" or "brave", it would be extremely easy for you to lessen that, should you choose to do so. Tying it to your other factors might prove much more complex, but your original request makes it sound like you never see enemies surrender or flee. Makes me think you may not be paying attention to the intricacies that the game already has in place..
laclongquan
Yeah, I see fleeing a lot. and sometimes I see cowering. One time there's two hostiles in a close, small room. I use sawed off shotgun to blast them. One was dead after several shots, the other at half health, weapon flying, so he crouch in a corner watching until I finish him off~ They dont cowering (animation) much, but sit watching weaponless is more often.
