ShirtlessTurtle
So I've been taking a break from modding Skyrim since Anniversary Edition released since I knew it would f*#@ up a lot of existing mods and I wanted to give it time for everything to get sorted out. Now that I'm back I noticed a lot of mods have different versions for SE and AE, however I've come upon a quandary: my Skyrim is still SE (haven't bought the AE DLC) but the version number is 1.6.1170.0. Some of the mods with SE versions say it's for version 1.5 while the AE versions are for 1.6+. Does this mean I have to buy the AE DLC for these mods to work or should I be fine without it as long as the versions match?
7531Leonidas
As long as the mod does not specifically require the additional, paid 'bonus' content, you should be ok using them. Think of it this way, 1.5xx - SE, 1.6x - AE, and the AE versions can be with/without the bonus CC mods from Beth. There is a nexus modding.wiki to help with SKSE mod compatibility here ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ). You should also probably join the Skyrim Game Community, via the 'Game Communities' link at top left. You will get much faster help, and probably more experienced help, there.
