I'm just collecting materials. To understand what it looks like in dynamics and how it can be implemented. There are a lot of LEDs, everything blinks. People in these old data centers must have gone crazy. They were diagnosed with LED schizophrenia.
niston
Fun fact: Most of the stuff on those large 360 consoles was never used by anybody, except during the occasional visit of an IBM field engineer. The whole yuge and expensive AF blinkenlights consoles thing really fell out of fashion with the advent of teletypes and terminals.

niston
The "network audio" packet source is generating network traffic for the first time: [06/29/2024 - 10:04:58PM] [NetLink:SOUL:Protocol < (FF068A96)>]: DEBUG - Sending SOUL Packet ([Magic = "SOUL", Version = 1, System = "DefaultSystem", PacketType = 106, Payload = [sourceName = "", SourceType = 1, SourceData = [frequency = 98.000000, Boost = False]]]) for System (DefaultSystem) to Link Layer... Source Type 1 is: Int Property SOUL_SOURCETYPE_RADIO = 1 AutoReadOnly Hidden ; RADIO source type Encouraging results, even though the Source Name is not transmitted properly. Now to refine operation and squash the bugs.

I couldn't find a single video of it working. I'm trying to figure out how to animate registers so that it doesn't look idiotic from the point of view of ibm engineers. niston
This is fantastic. I really wish I had more time to mod, to bring these things to life and actually work as Papyrus programmable computers. Especially as there is a suitable in-game network technology for such things readily available now and the Terminal I/O problem has mostly been solved. I just begun working on the preamp again tho. I probably can get it to receive and rebroadcast SOUL packets today.
