hjalmir
Hello. I need the newest release for Android. All I've found is this: https://gitlab.com/cavebros/openmw-android/-/releases But it's not the newest built. A lot of mods require version from April. Do you know any good source for the newest OpenMW releases for Android?
Guest deleted156886133
I found this link for a recent Reddit page discussing v.49 for Android. Follow the user UnusualAd5931's link, posted four days ago, for the .apk but read the comments first and decide. One user says that it worked until after an Android update but someone else replies with a solution. So, like I said, read over the comments and give it a try. If it doesn't work, you can always go over to the OpenMW forum and ask around. In case you haven't already done that, of course.
hjalmir
Thanks for the Reddit link, man. Good luck for seeking information on OpenMW forum - it's useless.

hjalmir
Oh, I just tried it and it doesn't work. I copied whole files from OpenMW Nightly folder to the OpenMW folder. It stops on loading a voice lines mod. Well, it stops on loading the last mod from the load order exactly. Edited May 20 by hjalmir

Did you follow the correct link? The second one given by UnusualAd5931.
hjalmir
Yeah. I think, my fault was copying config files from nightly to the new stable version. Damn, I just ended making my long mod list again and I'll have to install it again. Edit: It's weird. I like the variety of options, but I can't enhance view distance. In the game and in the settings file. Second edit: Okay, so for everyone with the same situation. That newest version is useless for me. I mean, it's if course great work, but I see nothing, that the previous version doesn't have. I need the newest .49 built for the mod which allows you to change your appearance, even the race and remain all your stats, level and spells. But it doesn't work neither. Moreover, I had difficulties for changing the view distance and I don't know, why the sheathing mod doesn't work(it was working on all previous versions I had and it was only a matter of copy settings file. Honestly I don't have idea, why I should use the newest built. Performance? Edited May 21 by hjalmir
Guest deleted156886133
Do any of the creators of the mods that you say require v.49 give a clue as to where to get it? I mean, they created the mods on v.49, right? It just seems odd that they're leaving it up to you to seek this elusive, compatible Android version. That's just bad customer service, just sayin'. Mods are from Nexus and there's no excluded area for Android. I don't think, that someone makes mods thinking of Android OpenMW. There's some nice mods for .49, but the about I was talking is that one' https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/54142?tab=posts It allows you to change your appearance, even your race due your playthrough with no stats loss. Could you tell me, what exactly the new release does except shaders?

I just meant it in an analogous way because you're essentially a customer, right? 55 minutes ago, hjalmir said: Could you tell me, what exactly the new release does except shaders? The new official release is v.48 and v.49 is still in development. Shaders, lua scripting and post-processing were new features implemented with v.48 and assumingly will be improved upon in v.49. The only thing of any note I've seen chatter about with v.49 is VR (Virtual Reality) but that's not relevant, I know. I hate to say it but... you may just have to wait for a version to install on Android if you're not interested in a desktop version. I would still bite-the-bullet and venture over to OpenMW's website and find out what's going on with the Android version. If they're not replying to thread posts, I found it productive in the past to complain a little bit. Not like a jerk but, you know, in a civil manner. I had an issue a while back so I posted on the forum and waited for a reply. All the while, I noticed that the thread kept getting views but no replies so I said something. It turns out that those views were simply the bots crawling the thread posts and feeding the data to search engines. The dev 'AnyOldName03' told me as much but it got his attention and my issue got solved. Other that that, I'm out of ideas. Good luck.
