"Faction" mods (expanding the main quest)

I‘m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound rude, I just followed your advice: "Typically the author knows what will happen so best to trust their judgement first". 🙂 I really meant no offence.

In general it's just bad practice to add new mods in the middle of a play through.   Especially scripted mods.

I'd meet the mod author half way if he said it was safe to upgrade an existing mod already in my play through.

Otherwise, I'd wait until my next play through to add it.

The "Thuggyverse" mods, Fusion City Rising, Outcasts and Remnants, Project Valkyrie and Depravity can be installed at any given time.

But, depending on where you are in the game quest lines there is a risk of missing out on content. Thuggy's mods are very well documented, describing possible scenarios. Read the FAQ's, articles etc on the mod pages.

I highly, highly recommend those mods, just be aware that the content is for adults.....

@DjinnKiller: Thank you very much for your reply!

I would like to tell you what I‘ve written to another user, and, since you obviously like that mod series, I‘d love to here your opinion on it:

"I'm having some issues with all that modern looking, large dancing and prostitution buildings in the series of Recluse's and Thuggysmurf's mods. Not because I'm against "un-lore-friendliness" (Is that even an existing word?), but because it makes my General kinda interchangeable for a lack of a better term. I thought she was the only one capable of building clean and wealthy settlements - that's what make them so special. x)

(…)

I love new content, but whenever I look through that mod series (Project Valkyrie, Outcasts and Remnants, Depravity, etc.) I‘m getting the impression something is really ... off. And I can't put a finger on it. Maybe it's that feeling that it's mostly made for men with all that kinky stuff (which is not bad at all, please don't get me wrong), or the mentioned quests feel out of place, I don't know."

Edit: Almost forgot: I did read the FAQ, but it raised even more questions. 🙂

Uuh, thanks but no thanks, that mod is literally just about blowing things up and choosing evil options. Great for a Raider-ish playthrough, but not what I‘m looking for. 🙂 However, since you have played the mods I mentioned, I‘d appreciate any input you can give me (please see my comment to Djinn Killer).

I don't play evil either...like ever...however i would not want all the evil options removed from the game. There is no virtue in being peaceful if one is not capable of being violent. The way i see it, the more possibility and reward there is for being evil the more righteous i feel in being good. I think the Enclave are evil but i have AR2 installed just so i can destroy them and take their stuff. To each their own though, eh?

On Thuggy's Mods

They were all built some years apart so that when grouped together they appear somewhat disjointed but Thuggy isn't exaggerating by saying DLC sized. Having all of them installed through several playthroughs i didn't see even half of the content contained in them. It all blends seamlessly with vanilla and while some parts i would call NSFW are present the stories don't revolve around it. It's just flavor like the Witcher for example. I think Thuggy might have been/still is an aspiring screen writer because the dialog in these mods is superb IMO and it shows in the voice acting performances. Those are my impressions for what they are worth.

Just talking about it gets me exited to explore some of the quests i didn't get to before.
