Two of my mods are missing nav-mesh bounds... Solved

Recommended Posts

Maybe provide some more information about what you were working on and what you did that may have given you this error message.

You can hide the mods obviously that is a judgement call.  If you have a lot of users complaining, then that would be a good idea.  But if you can resolve this quick enough, then you can just re-upload the corrected mod.

@RangerBoyd I just checked your mod list, and you should know heaps more about Nav Mesh than me, I am coder

  1. stop looking for an easy fix
  2. check the nav mesh for errors using the kit
  3. fix it

why are you avoiding doing that? Get to it

I have nav meshed, and I make mistakes, so I guess that makes me expert at checking for Nav Mesh errors.. 😉😉😉😅😅😅

BTW it show you NEVER nav mesh, else you would know about finalising and  error checking.. the best guide on the creation kit for Beginners is

specifically

@ any reader, bookmark and watch those videos, they were created by Bethesda developers to teach wannabe modders how to use the KIT, made by devs that actually made the game, it is a great place to start if you are new to the creation kit👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Thanks so much for info.... Have not had this problem until latest massive update. Not new to the kit, but new to this problem.  Really need help understanding how to use SSEEdit to fix deleted nav-mesh. Am a little bit slow to learn new tools but will persist until this error is repaired. Have always taken pride in producing mods without warnings, and my biggest concern is for those who have downloaded these mods. Thanks to post by NexBeth, will relax and get to work.

as far I am aware xEdit does not support Nav Mesh Editing.. I think you are still going to have to  use the kit.. if the Nav mesh is deleted, try a simple open save and close the plugin  to see if the kit has sanitised it, if that failed I still think your going open the Nav mesh editor, there no short cuts here as far as I am aware

BUT generally try searching the plugin for Errors (with xEdit) and see what happens, it usually points to a Form ID, or more...  select it, then it is usually  just something minor in the right panel that needs to be cleaned up or fixed up, with 99% of Form ID data in the right panel left untouched

Thank you for your interest in my problem... Have used SSEedit to identify this problem... Video instructions say to find the deleted nav-mesh's original form ID, and to replace the current  number with that one. This is a simple fix according to my research,  yet I am stuck at this point in the process.

Yes, you will need to use the kit, but XEdit will be very helpful in finding and resolving the problem.  So, is XEdit telling you that you have deleted vanilla Navmeshes?  Are you just using one exterior cell?
