Then clearly you realize how Generations' pathetic excuse for a plot makes no sense at all. Apparently you misunderstood that comment, because I never said you had a 5 year old's intelligence. Just that you (general sense) have to be that stupid to miss the plot holes. We're not talking about something you have to be a Star Trek expert to catch. These are blindingly obvious plot holes so bad that they shatter suspension of disbelief and ruin the movie.

Oh please, that was a direct insult and you know it. I've had it with you trying to cover your insults and make it look like people have overreacted. My rant was just a reaction to your general attitude that I've had to put up with over the years. In fact I think I've been pretty restrained in not flaming you before now. I'm not going to deny I was flaming also, but I think I'm entitled to a little rant after all this time putting up with you. I may be a moderator but I'm only human. :P

Either way, let's not fall back down that road, I don't want to spam this thread up with a flamewar. The fact that you think Generations had plot holes is fine. But I don't agree with you and so from your analogy, I must have the intellect of a five year old. How is that not saying I have a five year old's intelligence? I'd just appreciate it if you could show a little more tact/respect for other person's opinions once in a while rather than just insulting them because their opinions happen to differ from your own.

And the newer ones weren't? If they hadn't had the Star Trek name attached, none of the TNG ones would've attracted a decent audience. Admit it, everything after VI was a badly done attempt at making an easy profit.

They seemed very well done to me. I sincerely doubt the earlier ones were better but, who knows? I'm sorry but the Original Series itself has soured me to the films with Kirk in. I did watch one of them all the way through (Journey Home or something like that I think) and I wasn't very impressed.

I see, which makes you look perfectly credible here. Unlike you, I have watched the movies I insult. How is it that you can have such a strong opinion of movies you haven't even watched.

"Original Series cr@p" was a generalised term and perhaps a little bit unfair yes. But from all I've seen of Original Series Star Trek it was low-budget, poorly acted rubbish. But yes I will concede that I haven't actually watched most of the Original Series films, mainly because the Original Series itself soured me to them. I just haven't seen any good evidence that they would be worth my time. I figure anything based off the questionable 1960s view of the 2200s isn't really worth watching.
