DirtyDan86
Hi everyone! I was planning to rebuild my ship in CK to be able to spawn/buy it in NG+ but it‘s simply frustrating… But first… There‘s no current way to import your ship build (blueprint) to CK, right? My ship includes parts from other mods like DerreTech, Matilija‘s Aerospace and Avontech, so I‘m loading these with the Starfield.esm. But when entering ship builder I can barely set 5 parts until CK crashes. When scrolling fast through the categories, it‘s crashing immediately. So… am I missing a point / doing something wrong, or is this thing just ridiculously fragile?
matilija
Very fragile from what I can tell, I've been working on trying to get some pre-made ships into the game and I can typically get about 90% of the way done with one and then the CK just crashes to desktop without any warning. I've now lost nearly 2 days just trying to get one pre-made ship done...it's very frustrating.
DirtyDan86
Good to know it's not just me. And now it just made me so freaking mad I might even consider to completely quit. Everything was fine, then I wanted to make a tiny adjustment on my newest hab - boom, crash to desktop without warning and my esp file is showing 0kb size and isn't loading anymore. It created a tes file and I tried renaming that to esp, but it doesn't contain a quarter of it. HOW and WHY?!? All I have now is a save when I turned it to an esm from this morning. All day's work is gone because of... what the heck?!
matilija
Typically what I do, to prevent losing anything, I make an ESM using SF1Edit, copy it to the desktop, use a hex editor on the copy to change position 08 on line 1 from a 01 to a 00, and then rename my desktop file to .esp instead of esm, click yes on the whole change file format popup, then I move the esp to my game directory and use that for the CK to adjust, so if I make a mistake or if the CK breaks things, I still have my original .esm file which I can copy and convert to an esp as many times as I want.
