ArthurNOnymous
As the title says. (See also: the screenshots at the end of the post) After the better part of two hours spent banging away, monkey-on-a-typewriter style messing around with the load order (nothing I did with that worked), I came here. I don't even know how to diagnose this issue, much less fix it, so any assistance would be appreciated. laclongquan
It's likely in your mods folder there's a mod that contain a replacer folder, then you disable it by rename it to something like oldname - copy. Then the game has a hickup and ignore the copy part and load the name, and lead to corrupt texture path. This mean one session is fine, but next time you open up vortex/Mo2 and start up FNV, suddenly this bug appear. The only way is to find the mods that contain said textures and fix/rename the folder name to something like bkupOldname to prevent system misunderstanding. This can be ruled out, because I haven't done this. Renamed a folder to disable it, I mean. I do have a number of disabled mods but I disabled them through Vortex- and none of them contain 9mm SMG textures in any case.
TurntLogic
Could be an issue between your animation and mesh mods. Give ISControl Enabler a try and see if it fixes it.

I have that installed already, installed it before I started this playthrough.
amokrun1
This has happened quite often to me. Not sure how involved you want to get but the fastest way to find the problem for me(if there are no visible conflicts to rule out first) is to open the gun's mesh in Nifskope and see where the textures are being mapped to in the nif file. It's kind of a pain at first when you haven't used Nifskope before but once you get acclimated with it, it will resolve this type of issue every time, or at least point you to the source of the problem. If you want to take the plunge, I can go into more detail on what to specifically look for in Nifskope. Also, use MO2 if you're not already, conflicts are very easy to see with it and sometimes completely rids the need of Nifskope for the fix. TurntLogic
It might be a conflict with WMIMNV and another mod. WMIMNV can conflict with Weapon Retexture Project and some of Hitman's animations. Try disabling WMIMNV or WRP (if you have it), and see if the problem persists.

Learning to use an entirely new tool in order to fix the texture of only one weapon seems a bit much, to be honest. I might take you up on that if the problem shows up somewhere else, though. Also- I found the 9mm SMG Expanded Drums mod for it (yes, I was using it despite the broken texture- it still worked, even if it was ugly as sin), and applying that fixed the problem. The texture is still broken without it, though. No idea what that means for this issue.
