AaronOfMpls
Well, first of all, check if SKSE and your SKSE plugins (including Address Library) match your version of the game. Otherwise, is MO2 flagging any missing masters in the right pane?
kyleftw
Sorrry for the late reply, timezones and all that, so i managed to get passed the shader compilation issues, it was indeed some missing masters and using the old console ui mod dll, but now the new issue is on the main menu screen, i dont know why but skyrim appears to run window in the background, so moving up and down on controller works but ctd when i select new game, probably because its running in the background but when i click on the main menu with mouse it freezez while audio is playing, i uninstalled my auto input switcher mod but still freezez when slecting skyrim main menu to run as main program window im trying to figure out how to make skyrim run from MO2 as already the main program window, so maybe a bethini fix or just unplugging my controller? also do you think the built in loot program runs effectively as the installed program? coz ive been using the built in program only because i cant get the installed loot to find my skyrim game (probs coz its both on different drives)

Does Alt-Tabbing to Skyrim work if it launches behind MO? On 7/8/2024 at 3:04 AM, kyleftw said: so maybe a bethini fix or just unplugging my controller? I suppose you could check your .ini files, especially those in your MO2 profiles. Though I don't think they're really at fault here. (Go into MO2's Settings > Paths tab, if you don't remember where your profiles are stored.) As for a controller, I've never used one on my PC, so I don't know what quirks are involved. I've been PC gaming with mouse and keyboard since the '90s, so I'm pretty well used to it. Though if you'd rather use standalone LOOT, you can -- from MO2's executables pulldown (next to the big "> Run" button). In that pulldown, above SKSE, click <Edit...>. If LOOT isn't already there, hit the + button > Add from file... and browse to where it's installed, to find its .exe. Spoiler (Spoilered screenshots of where to find it. ↑ My UI might look a little wonky, between the MO2 "dracula" theme, and running MO2 in Wine/Proton on Linux.) kyleftw
Mahn youve been a huge help, the hero this forum does not deserve but the hero it needs, it was definitely something to do with the windowed, borderess and fullscreen options, i think i had to reselect fullscreen after all the display mods i added, but i also installed bethini pie and selected the always active option and also set that as fullscreen there as well. you my friend must have an awesome day further
