Karna5
What method do you use to cope with stress, sadness and despair, Drakefell? I generally try to stage something sad (very rarely something uplifting) in a PC game and then record it and turn it into a film. Basically I stage something slit your wrist bleak, set it to music and turn it into a catharsis. What's your catharsis? [AFK a long while to go back to working on a sad film in Skyrim SE]

InDarkestNight
I AM SICK OF BEING IGNORED I AM SICK OF BEING TROLLED EVERYWHERE WHY DOES NO ONE SHOW ME ANY RESPECT NO MATTER WHAT I DO OR SAY AND I'M SICK OF BEING STALKED BY TROLLS EVERYWHERE. 1
Drakefell01
Sounds like your having internet troubles... I would advise blocking anyone who troles you or just hide them in the case of nexus forums. Another thing I would try is reporting troles for abuse and or eating something that will make you happy to negate the effect of the situation. Oh yes I must ask how do Internet trolls make you feel? InDarkestNight
Blocking people is NEVER sufficient. As soon as they realize you blocked them, they exploit it by slandering you behind your back. They'll derail all your threads, and you won't even know why unless you read all their comments. Its why I still read the comments even of people I've blocked, BECAUSE YOU'RE WORSE OFF IF YOU DON'T. Besides, it doesn't stop everything. It doesn't stop them from stalking you, or using other ways to troll you like this warwickhunt idiot did to my last post. Yes, you can report them, but not a damned thing will ever be done about them ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET. I've been banned for excessive reporting, despite not doing a damned thing wrong myself. Really, I'm just sick of not being able to use the internet. I can't post anywhere, I can't express my own opinions even when confronted with literal holocaust deniers, not getting answers to any questions I ask. How often do I ever get a reply to a question I post on here? AND I GET MORE ANSWERS HERE THAN ANY OTHER PLACE I'VE EVER POSTED IN OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS. I've done everything I can to solve this problem. I block people, I report them, and the problem never goes away. I've even had problems with stalkers on multiple places. The latest was on the steam boards, which finally forced me to change my screen name, and avatar (this was when people were trolling anyone with an animal avatar for being a 'furry'), and haven't posted there in nearly a year now. You know what happened? Six months after I last posted, suddenly dozens of people necrothreaded everything I ever posted in just to assail me. It felt like I was being stalked by an entire group of trolls, and that proved it. I did nothing to provoke them, I literally hadn't posted a damned thing in 6 months. Not that I was saying anything that would provoke a reasonable person (other than maybe refuting far-right s#*! rampant in the skyrim community). Everyone seems to have a remarkable skill to twist anything I say to make it look like I'm some horrible rehensible person. I've been called a 'brain-dead libtard snowflake' for lamenting about how little love Egyptian mythology gets in the folklore community, I've been accused of being part of cancel culture for refusing to listen to kpop, I've gotten accused of being a white supremacist for reading lovecraft, I've been accused of being a furry simply because I had an animal avatar (damn they get a lot of hate btw), and I've even been accused of making threats WHEN IN REALITY I SIMPLY REPORTED SOMEONE WHO DID, THEY DEFENDED HIM AND EVEN THREW EVERYTHING HE HAD DONE ONTO ME AND EVEN DELETED ALL THE THREADS WHERE HE MADE HIS ILLEGAL POSTS JUST TO COVEER IT ALL UP. This was on the skyrim board on steam btw, which is why I haven't posted there in years and years now. The last thing I ever did for that board was to report the entirity in it, and revealed all the far-right s#*! I had been exposed to on there. They told me that they would look into it, and even let me block some of the moderators. As for how the trolling thing started on steam, it all started on the steam board. They had a thread going about which side of the civil war you chose. I said i preferred imperials, though didn't say why. Everyone else on the board started claiming I must be an absolutely horrible person in life for that. They later accused me of 'pulling politics into the game', which I never did, THOUGH THEY DID REALLY SEEM TO LOVE TO DEFEND ULFRIC BY COMPARING HIM TO TRUMP. I'm sick of being censored, I'm sick of not being allowed to know things (I got banned from the askscience sub-reddit purely because they got sick of me asking banal questions, apparently because you're not allowed to know truth). I'm sick of being assailed all the time. Honestly, even making this will probably make me a target. The last post I made did. I've been mistreated so much online and I'm beyond sick of it. Doesn't help I haven't been treated that well in real life either. Yes, I have a chip on my shoulder. I still try to keep positive and be a good person BUT EVERYONE ELSE SEEMS HELLBENT TO MAKE MY LIFE A LIVING HELL NO MATTER WHAT I DO. Fun times. Isn't the internet wonderful? This is all actually part of the reason why I've been contemplating disconnecting from the internet forever. What use is it? You try to do any research, or say anything no matter how banal and innocent, you just get dogpiled by an army of trolls. There's of course more reasons other than that, which isn't helping the internet's case at all.
Drakefell01
Ok looks like your problem is people themselves. One option is only to talk to people with the same interests, I would also advise doing things you enjoy to help you still feel happy through the day.
Drakefell01
Another thing I would say to do is try to turn the conversation around and play along with it, or turn it around in your favor to redirect the insult to them, this is how people can really annoy trolls and make them stop all together.

I've blocked many people over the years on several different forums, and not once have I experienced what you describe. However, if someone is that aggressive, I do report them to moderators at the same time I block them. While blocking someone on its own is just for your own peace of mind not to see their hogwash, the moderators are the actual protection from true personal attacks. Also, there's one thing only you can do: don't give power to monsters Only you can let the words of a monster affect you. It is necessary to simply not care what they think. Yes, block them for your peace, but block them in your head as well.
