polystation1722
Hello everybody, I have an idea, but doesn't have the know-how to make it, simply because I just know how to deal with static meshes, all my attempts to convert an armor mesh (including those) have definitely NOT worked, it must be because I have a problem to make the rigging process and that stuff. But come on, it would be really great to have armors like those in Cyrodiil while playing Oblivion: Kvetchi Mercenary Set: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/79226 Colovian Prince Set: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/79894 River Watch Set: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107904 Ferrum Nibenis (with 3 Nibenese-Themed Armors): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/84971 Those just to keep ir on pulcharmsolis' armors, since there are other amazing armors mods for Skyrim with Open Permissions, like that one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/97760? C'mon, all we need is someone who knows how to work with armor meshes for Oblivion, and I know it's a little bit complicated because of the engine and 3d softwares (many of whom doesn't have full support with Oblivion nif version and all), but it's simply not possible that no one can make it... Please, let's make it some kind of minor project or campaign to find someone that can, at least convert the meshes, I can help with implementation, testing and many other thing on that, just can't convert the armors by myself. Selene310187
I haven't converted Skyrim armors to Oblivion yet. I have found a guide for this process on LoversLab though: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/16198-porting-meshes-from-skyrim-to-oblivion-using-blender/ At the moment, I'm working on my demonic race mod again after a break that lasted a couple of years. I can only concentrate on one project at the time.
LenaWolfBravil
You do realise that porting models from Skyrim to Oblivion is not allowed by Bethesda, right?
polystation1722
@LenaWolfBravilDo Bethesda also have jurisdiction over porperties that they do not own? Because those meshes seems to not use any to little part of Skyrim's vanilla meshes, just needing to replace parts of body meshes that surely have around it. Apart from that, having the permission to use it by the author (in the public permissions of the original mods the conversion are allowed) is just what is needed. In Morrowind I already saw some convertions of that kind, and myself have the permission to use some static meshes from various mod authors of Skyrim mods to convert their static meshes alike. polystation1722
@Selene310187thanks for the feedback! I will try to work with that tutorial
polystation1722
@LenaWolfBravilThose mods are conversions of assets not owned by Bethesda from Skyrim for Morrowind, as example: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/53084 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/50137
LenaWolfBravil
Sorry, I read over it too quickly. Of course the restriction does not apply to mod-added assets.
