area around lost tongue outlook to stendarr beacon will CTD on me

Recommended Posts

There's a conflict between CACO, Folkstead, and Shadows Of The Past, mostly the first 2 it seems.  Some sort of navmesh issue near Gromm's Pass (that's what ccbgssse040-advobgobs.esl is).

I am getting the CTD with just Folkstead and its ASLAL and texture patches.  This is rather recent for me, but I can't ID any mod that was recently added to cause this problem.  There are some reports in the mod comments about a CTD there, as well.

You were near Stendarr's Beacon, but the 1st crash log you posted mentioned ccbgssse040-advobgobs.esl which is the filename for the Goblin's Creation (Club) content.  Gromm's Pass is added by that CC, and it is located close to Stendarr's Beacon, though technically it's closer to Lost Tongue Overlook.   The Folkstead mod added things near the exterior to Gromm's Pass that are messing things up and causing CTDs.

In situations like this, there's no user-end solution(s) to keep the mods working in an ongoing playthrough without further problems, unfortunately.  Mod author (of Folkstead, specifically) added things to that area that are causing problems.

When things like this happen to me in my games, sometimes the only solution is the "nuclear" option: to delete the problematic mod(s), delete all saves, close the game and restart.

@SirCadsimar@nsm0220FYI - the crash doesn't occur for me when using older Folkstead version 4.3.1, but I don't have the extended CC stuff.  This rock formation shows up as a snowy, featureless ridge in 4.3.2:

I filed a bug report on the Folkstead mod page, but can't upload images directly to the posts there.
